DIRECTIONS TO CROSSWICKS, NJ
AND THE CROSSWICKS COMMUNITY HOUSE AT 480 MAIN STREET
From Northwest New Jersey:
Take Route 295 South to Route 195 East, to Route 130 South (Bordentown) exit. Then watch for a Home Depot on right. When you see Home Depot, get into the extreme right lane, take exit ramp just before the traffic light, and turn left at the stop sign. Cross over Rt 130 at the light and go straight. Continue straight through two traffic lights. You値l go under a highway bridge, then over another small bridge. Continue straight after the 4-way stop intersection, where the road then dips down and you値l cross over another bridge (with brick walls on each side). Go up the hill, and then follow the main road as it bears hard left and becomes Main Street in Crosswicks. The Crosswicks Community House will be on your right.
From Northeast New Jersey (Option 1):
Take Rt. 1 South to North Brunswick. Then take Rt 130 South heading towards Bordentown. Pass through Hightstown and drive for another 15 minutes or so. Watch for these landmarks that mean you池e getting close to the turnoff (but please stay on 130 until then!): Overpass for Route 195, then watch for a Home Depot on right. When you see Home Depot, get into the extreme right lane, take exit ramp just before the traffic light, and turn left at the stop sign. Cross over Rt 130 at the light and go straight. Continue straight through two traffic lights. You値l go under a highway bridge, then over another small bridge. Continue straight after the 4-way stop intersection, where the road then dips down and you値l cross over another bridge (with brick walls on each side). Go up the hill, and then follow the main road as it bears hard left and becomes Main Street in Crosswicks. The Crosswicks Community House will be on your right.
From Northeast New Jersey (Option 2):
NJ Turnpike South to exit 7a, then Route 195 West to Route 130
South (Bordentown) exit. Then watch for Home Depot on right. When you see Home
Depot, get into the extreme right lane, take exit ramp just before the traffic
light, and turn left at the stop sign. Cross over Rt 130 at the light and go
straight. Continue straight through two traffic lights. You値l go under a
highway bridge, then over another small bridge. Continue straight after the
4-way stop intersection, where the road then dips down and you値l cross over
another bridge (with brick walls on each side). Go up the hill, and then follow
the main road as it bears hard left and becomes Main Street in Crosswicks. The
Crosswicks Community House will be on your right.
(NOTE: Option 2 above is faster, but Option 1 is toll-free.)
From Southwest New Jersey:
Take Route 295 North to Route 130 North (Bordentown) exit. Go through traffic light, and follow road as it bears left to merge with Route 206. Go through 2 closely-paired traffic lights and down the hill. Watch for a "Chickie's & Pete's" restaurant on right and make a sharp right immediately after it onto Ward Avenue. Go about 3 miles to stop sign, then go straight. You池e now on Main Street in Crosswicks. The Crosswicks Community House will be on your right.
From Southeast New Jersey:
Take the Garden State Parkway North to Route 195 East, to Route 130 South (Bordentown) exit. Then watch for Home Depot on right. REMINDER:
Do NOT park on the grass behind the Community House! Space in the Community House parking lot is very limited, and there is plenty of other on-street parking on the side streets. Crosswicks is a beautiful quaint historic village, so if you do have to take a short stroll to the Community House, look around and enjoy the view!
